For all those people that have these wonderful cameras but have no idea how to use them, or have some idea, but are not using the camera to its full potential.

If you’re one of those people that have a great “SLR” or “SLR Like” camera, and all you are using is the “Green Mode” or “Auto Mode,” or explore a little, but have little or no understating or knowledge.  Then this course is for you.

Starting from the power on switch, taking you through all the modes and functions of your camera, even getting some hands-on experience.  “Photography 101” consists of ten evening classes on Monday and Wednesdays running during a five to six-week duration. Class times run from 7-8:30 or 8:30-10 pm. (Your choice if you register early enough)

Five days in class, and then out in the field for the remaining five days.  We do some posing; dealing with group shots, starting from the ground up working with balance, colour, etc….  taking a group of five or more people, building your pose, using composition rules to create a pleasing picture.  We also as a group capture landscape, movement, sports/Panning, and close-up (Macro) pictures.  This variety is designed to wet your appetite for more and to help you know what kind of pictures you most like taking.  Also during these last five classes, we take the time to look over students photos, and have two fully trained photographers that critique your work to allow you to learn as they point out the positives, and show you what you could change, to make it a better photos for the next time.

We cover a wide range of topics such as:

  • How to set your White Balance
  • What are shutter speed and aperture, how do they work together, and What effect do they have on the picture that you take?
  • What makes a good composition?
  • How to create blurred  backgrounds ( depth of field )

and Much, Much More…………..this is a course filled with loads of important information.

We have students traveling from all over to come and take this course. This is a Course YOU don’t want to miss !!

See you there!!
